Biography


Eoin O Conaill
(b.1979, Ireland) completed a B.A. in Documentary Photography at University of Wales, Newport in 2003.  He has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally, having recent solo shows at The Gallery of Photography, Dublin 2009  (including a publication of “Common Place”), at the West Cork Arts Centre and Belmont Mill Gallery & Studio in 2010. 

 

Recent group exhibitions include Claremorris Open ’10, “Postcards from the Celtic Tiger” a group exhibition of contemporary Irish Photography and Video at Xuhui Art Museum, Shanghai, China ’10, “Home” as part of PhotoIreland Festival 2010 at "This is it" Gallery, Dublin,  Ev+a International Visual Art Exhibition, Limerick, 2009, and at the International Festival of Photography, Lodz, Poland in 2009. 

 

In 2010 he worked on a NYCI Artist Residency, Cape Clear Island/West Cork Arts Centre, 2010.  Eoin was awarded the Gallery of Photography Artist’s Award in 2009 and received a Belmont Mill National Residency Award in 2008. His work has been published in a number of publications including Irish Arts Review,  The Irish Times, New York Times and has been featured on Verve, Conscientious and Camera Obscura photo blogs among others.
